

Save the Lupines Oct. 1 in SF
The California Garden Club statewide organization is calling all green thumbs to assist with transplanting lupines this Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Fort Funston Nursery in San Francisco. The effort is part of "Project: Mission Blue," sponsored by the California Garden Club for the past five years. What's a Hypertufa? Find out at the Windsor Garden Club's first Hypertufa Workshop in the Garden Sunday Sept. 11. (You've waited long enough: a hypertufa is a molded concrete container that you make yourself. Boxes, leaves and other materials can serve as your cement molds.
