Get your garden growing right with some free organic compost Saturday, April 3 (2021) in Windsor. The self-serve event for Windsor residents is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Keiser Park, 700 Windsor River Road. Wear your masks (masks are required) and stay socially distanced. Participants should bring their own shovels and gloves plus tarps, buckets, feedbags and/or a pickup truck to take home up to a half cubic yard of compost, donated by Cold Creek Compost of Ukiah. Butterflies in Windsor: What's Up?
Join the Windsor Garden Club Zoom Happy Hour at 5 p.m. this Wednesday, March 17 (2021) to learn what's up with local efforts to help the Monarch butterfly and other butterfly species. WGC's own Cindy Fenton will tell us about Project Monarch - an effort to get 100 Windsor residents to plant milkweed in their back yards to support the Monarchs that migrate here annually. April Open Hours at the Town Green Community Garden
As part of Windsor's Earth Day activities, the Windsor Garden Club is offering open hours and gardening tips at the Town Green Community Garden. Open Garden hours for visitors will be from noon to 3 p.m. daily the week of Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 23 (2021). Please wear your mask and shoes that are good for walking in dirt.
