MORE WINDSOR GARDEN CLUB PROJECTS
The Civic Center Demonstration Garden is an exhibit focusing on plant species that are low water use.
The Demonstration Garden Committee researched a plant palette that supports both hummingbirds and butterflies.
As the garden evolves the exhibit will include a rotation of seasonal color, plant labels and information at the Windsor Civic Center kiosk.

Daffodils on The Green
We've planted more than 5,000 daffodils on the west end of the Windsor Town Green since 2010!
Club members, friends and help from Windsor High School amd Cali Calimecac students make this project possible!
Dozens of volunteers helped the WGC plant all 2,000 bulbs in just under four hours! The event was very popular, which helped us secure donations for a planting of 3,000 bulbs in 2011.

Look for the daffodils while you're on the Town Green in early spring!
Art in Bloom Flower Show
The Windsor Garden Club's first "Art in Bloom" flower show took place in June 2015, and was a smashing success! WGC will coordinate the show again in 2016 with the Town of Windsor. The event offers 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes in two categories: Floral and Succulents, as well as a "Best in Show" award.
The June Art in Bloom flower show takes place at Huerta Gymnasium in the Town of Windsor Civic Center complex, as part of the Windsor Community Art Show. The juried art show is a project of the Town and the Windsor Arts Council. The club moved the flower show from its previous 4th of July date to coincide with our hometown celebration of local art.

Windsor Garden Club members support the students of our town. We've committed to raising funds annually to add to our Windsor Garden Club Scholarship Fund, part of the Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation Endowment. The club has pledged to award $500 to $1,500 in scholarships annually to local students at SRJC who are working toward a degree in biology, environmental science, horticulture, or landscape architecture. We are grateful to longtime club members Cindy Mankins Moore and Julie Neff and matching grants from their former employer, Intel, for substantial donations to kickstart the WGC SRJC Scholarship Fund. We happily accept donations from non-members to our scholarship fund, and look forward to receiving scholarship applications from local students from years to come!
