Master Gardeners Workshop Aug. 10

Join Sonoma County Master Gardeners on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Windsor Town Green Community Garden for a workshop on autumn gardening. The three-part workshop will cover composting and cover crops to plant, integrated pest management, and what to grow in your fall-winter garden. The workshop is free and open to the public.

What’s happening in Windsor’s creeks and waterways? Find out from Russian Riverkeeper Education Director Birkin Newell at the July 8 meeting of the Windsor Garden Club. The nonprofit Russian Riverkeeper organization has launched three new native plant restoration projects on Windsor’s creeks. Find out about those native creekside plants, the health of Windsor’s waterways, and how gardeners and residents can help protect them. Windsor's creeks flow in to Mark West Creek and from there on to the Russian River. The presentation is free and open to the public.
